Ascended Glorified Christ
Revelation 5:6 - Behold, the Lamb Standing as though it had been Slain
In eternity past Jesus existed without a human body and was strictly the Son of God. Through incarnation He became the Son of man to redeem mankind as the Lamb of God by His death on the cross of Calvary.
Through His resurrection from the dead with a flesh and bone body, the Holy Spirit through God the Father designated Him as the Son of God. The firstborn from the dead. Romans1:4 — declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Hebrews 1:6 when He again bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him.
Following His resurrection, He ascended privately to present His blood to God the Father in the heavenly tabernacle, sprinkling His blood on the mercy seat, thereby accomplishing salvation for mankind. John 20:17 — I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
He appeared to the disciples in a closed room, showed them His hands and side, and ate with them — training them to enjoy Him pneumatically as the incarnated, crucified, resurrected, ascended, glorified life-giving Spirit.John 20:19 — Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 20:20 — And when He had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. 20:21 — Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 20:22 — And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
He is to us High Priest in the order of Melchizedek, Advocate, Archbishop of our souls, Mediator of the new covenant, Heavenly Intercessor, Surety of the new covenant, and so much more. Hebrews 4:14 — Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 1 John 2:1 — My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Hebrews 8:1 — Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; Hebrews 9:15 — And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 7:22 — By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. hebrews 9:24 — For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Hebrews 7:25 — Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
