The Glorified Christ

Feet Like Burnished Bronze, Voice Like Many Waters

"And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters." (Revelation 1:15, KJV)

Bronze speaks of divine judgment. At the tabernacle entrance stood the bronze altar. God himself lit this alter by sending fire from heaven. This fire was never to go out. This heavenly fire consumed the burnt offering until it was reduced to ashes daily. That alter spoke of our substitute - Christ Jesus. That altar was a shadow; Jesus is the reality. He is the Man on fire — past, present, and future — who fully bore the judgment of sin and came out victorious.

His feet of burnished bronze declare an accomplished redemption through His cross, resurrection, ascension, and glorification. With these burning feet, He possesses both land and sea. He purifies, judges, sanctifies, and is unshakeable in holiness while trampling the enemy underfoot.

His voice is the voice of the Almighty, roaring like many waters. His voice breaks the towering cedars of Lebanon. In Scripture, trees represent humanity, and the tall cedars speak of human pride and stature. When Jesus speaks, no flesh can resist Him. Regardless of human standing, every high thing bows to His sovereign word.
